Royce's Portfolio

A little about me

I've always loved video and entertainment, even from a young age when my dad helped me connect a low res camera to our VCR to make home movies with my stuffed toys. During high school I took an apprenticeship for set design and construction at the Riverside Professional Theatre, and loved the thrill and excitement of running tech during live performances.

I went to college at FSU for technical theater, and had great experiences volunteering on-set with the film school masters students on their thesis films. After college I got hired by the local ABC News station as a technical director, running the show for 2 years on a GrassValley Ignite robotic camera system from the control room, completely solo.

Since then I've worked mostly in corporate marketing departments as a video editor and motion graphics animator. I've also done many years of freelance work with companies, as well as many Twitch and YouTube content creators. Home office work is cozy, but I also love the collaboration of working in a team, so both are happy places for me.
